How to Apply

The 2024-2025 Scholarship application period has ended.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a declared Environmental Science major at the time of application.
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Financial need will be considered, but is not a requirement for all scholarships.
  • The Southern Appalachian Mountains Initiative [SAMI] Scholarships have these additional requirements:
    • must be a permanent resident of NC, SC, AL, GA, KY, TN, WV, or VA.
    • an interest in air quality is a plus.
  • The Steiner Environmental Science Field Research Award has these additional requirements:
    • must have demonstrated financial need.
    • must conduct a field-based research project.
