How to Apply
The 2025-2026 Scholarship application period has ended.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a declared Environmental Science major at the time of application.
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Financial need is not a requirement for all scholarships.
- The Southern Appalachian Mountains Initiative [SAMI] Scholarships have these additional requirements:
- must be a permanent resident of NC, SC, AL, GA, KY, TN, WV, or VA.
- an interest in air quality is a plus.
- The Steiner Environmental Science Field Research Award has these additional requirements:
- must have demonstrated financial need.
- must conduct a field-based research project.
